A Candid Review of "Girls to Pearls"

"I really liked your book..., you have helped me to say, that I am not alone in this situation..., you have gave me confidence in this book to say that, everyone has to go through things. Even if they're different."

Healthy, Wealthy, or Wise?

I recently was posed with the question, “What makes me a healthy, wealthy, or wise woman?” I found it pretty difficult to answer. I told myself, “I am healthy because I lost some weight.” So I figured that made me a healthier person. When in fact, my hand weights are collecting dust in my closet as we speak. Then I told myself, “I am wealthy, not monetarily, but because of my rich relationships with family and friends,” while in truth, I’ve been playing the all-too-familiar game of phone and email tag with my friends for the past few months. And let’s not even talk about the finances! Wealthy? Huh.

But when I really thought about it, I found that being wise is the most important attribute I could ever have in my possession. Wisdom is the foundation for all positive life-changing decisions. The Bible even says, “Getting wisdom is the most important thing you can do!” (Proverbs 4:7) Being wise is not the falsehood of trying to be this perfect little angel, but rather the ability to recognize areas in your own life where you can stand improvement.

So what makes me a wise woman? I am a wise woman because I am willing to change. I am wise because I want to get better.

Girls to Pearls, Coming Soon to a City Near You...

Find out how to host a free Girls to Pearls event for your girls group today!

Girls to Pearls is based on the debut book by author Jacqueline Sullivan titled, “Girls to Pearls: A Young Woman’s Guide to Living Life Freely, Loving God Naturally, and Surviving Puberty Successfully.”

The idea for the book came about when Jacqueline sat in on the end of a “Girls to Pearls” meeting (a young women’s group at New Way of Life Church of God in Christ located in North Chicago, IL). It was so encouraging to see young women participating in a positive environment where they could just be real with each other. All young women could benefit from an event like this.

Sessions can be custom tailored to fit your church’s needs ranging from an engaging two-hour experience, to an extended full-day retreat where your girls will be able to meet the author, ask questions, and participate in group activities—all with the intent of celebrating God, the inner-beauty He has placed in all of us, and presenting the gospel of Jesus Christ.

From a Biblical perspective, your girls will be challenged to step up and exhibit a quality of maturity so rare in this world and in this present age, that they may shine as brightly and as boldly as a brilliant pearl shines for an oyster.

Please pray with us about hosting a Girls to Pearls event. If you would like to find out more information, contact us at jackie@girlstopearls.com.
